Let's give a bit of a background about what Talent Matching is. It refers to the process of identifying the most suitable talents for specific job positions or roles within an organization. It involves assessing whether a candidate is a match for a particular role as per the job-related criteria. This process typically takes place during external hiring, where organizations aim to find the right talent from outside the company to fill vacant positions.

How does Talent Matching unlock Internal Mobility?

Internal mobility focuses on providing growth and career development opportunities for existing employees within the organization. It involves enabling employees to explore and transition into different roles or departments within the company, based on their skills, interests, and potential. Internal mobility initiatives aim to retain and engage employees by offering them new challenges and career progression within the organization.

Talent matching and internal mobility are interconnected because internal mobility programs often utilize talent matching principles to identify suitable internal candidates for available job opportunities. When a position opens up within the organization, talent matching can be used to assess and evaluate the potential of existing employees to determine if any internal candidates are a good fit for the role. By matching internal employees to new opportunities, organizations can capitalize on the talent and potential within their workforce, promote employee development, and improve employee retention.

In summary, talent matching plays a role in internal mobility by helping organizations identify and match the potential of existing employees to internal job opportunities, facilitating career growth and development within the organization.

How does Bryq do it?

Once you have imported your Employees in Bryq you can start exploring where they can be a match for other job profiles. Simply by following these steps:

  1. Select an Employee from the menu My Company > My Employees.

  2. Select the current Role Profile of the Employee from the relevant Drop-Down List. In our example, we have an employee that demonstrates poor performance in the BDR role and we want to consider another career development path.

3. Navigate towards the Talent Matching section and there you will be able to view which other open jobs or optimized role profiles within the Sales Department that employee might be a good match for as per the profile's requirements.

The recommendations in the talent matching process are ranked based on the Fit Score, which provides an assessment of an individual's ranking compared to a specific group. The Fit Score is a standardized scale that enables the interpretation of an individual's predictive performance for a role profile relative to a comparison group. The Fit Score consists of six scales:

  1. Exceptional Fit

  2. Great Fit

  3. Good Fit

  4. Average Fit

  5. Below Average Fit

  6. Poor Fit

In the talent matching section, an employee is considered recommended if they have a Fit Score of Good Fit or above. This ensures that employees with a strong alignment to the role profile are identified and prioritized in the talent-matching process.

πŸ’‘ Keep in mind though that a career might not be linear, namely, an individual might want to take a shift from the typical career path and explore a non-linear career pathway. The Bryq Talent Matching feature offers this exploratory view since the potential job-person match recommendations reflect all open opportunities in Bryq.

πŸ’‘ You may filter and narrow down the results by using the Department drop-down list. Or alternatively, you may search for a specific profile.
