Through this integration, you can send Bryq assessment tests to candidates via Workable and receive the results on the candidate's timeline in Workable.

Setting up the integration

You must be a Super Admin in Workable to set up integrations.
You must be a Account Administrator in Bryq to set up integrations.

To set the integration up, start by signing in to your Bryq account to retrieve the API key:

  • In Bryq, click on your profile icon in the upper right and select Company Settings
  • Under the Integrations section, click on Workable
  • In the pop-up, click Create API key
  • An API key (a very long string of letters and numbers) will appear in a text box
  • Click on the copy icon to copy the API key to clipboard

Next, sign in to Workable:

  • Click your user icon in the upper right and select Integrations
  • Locate Bryq in the list of Assessment Providers and click on it
  • Paste the API key into the field that appears and click Update Settings

That's it! The connection will be complete and you'll be able to start sending out assessment tests.

Assigning an assessment to a job

Bryq can be used both as a screening tool to screen all incoming candidates or as an as-needed assessment for select candidates.

Using Bryq as a screening assessment

Once for all jobs:
You will want to modify your recruiting pipeline (under Recruiting preferences) to include an assessment stage. Just click Add a new stage, and add a new stage (we suggest calling it Bryq) of type Assessment.

Your pipeline should look now like this:

For every job:
Once you create the assessment in Bryq, you need to associate it with a job in Workable. Edit the Job in Workable and do to the Assessment tab.
Select Add another evaluation method.
Select the Stage (e.g. Bryq) and Press OK.
Select Assessment test - it will show you a list with the currently available Bryq assessments. Select the one that matches this job and click on Save changes.

For every candidate:
Now as new candidates apply, you can move them to the Bryq stage.

From there, you can select each candidate and click the assessment icon. Click on confirm and you are done.

I hate clicking. Is there maybe an automated way to do this?

For high volume scenarios, this process can be painful - too much manual work.

We have developed the Bryq Workable Extension for the Google Chrome browser that you can download from the chrome web store.

Once the extension is installed in your browser, it ads a small B icon to your Chrome toolbar.

Select the candidates you want to assess (or simply click on Select All) and click on the Bryq button in the toolbar.

The extension will visit each candidate and send them the assessment. If the assessment has already been sent to a candidate or there is no valid email address for the candidate, the extension will just skip this candidate.

It takes a while to process all candidates (as we depend on the browser to do all the work) but you can switch to another tab while it is processing.

Using Bryq as an as-needed assessment

If you just want to assess candidates as needed, do the following:

For every job:
Once you create the assessment in Bryq, you need to associate it with a job in Workable. Edit the Job in Workable and do to the Assessment tab.
Select Add another evaluation method.Select the Stage (e.g. Phone Interview) and Press OK.
Select Assessment test - it will show you a list with the currently available Bryq assessments. Select the one that matches this job and click on Save changes.

For every candidate:

From candidates who are already in the assessment Stage (e.g. Phone Interview), you can select each candidate and click the assessment icon. Click on confirm and you are done.

Where do I see the candidate results?

Inbox

Once a candidate completes the assessment, results will automatically appear in workable.
You will receive a message in your Workable inbox:

Within Workable you can already see the major KPIs: Cognitive Match, Personality Match and Leadership Potential Match, as well as the 4 cognitive scores (Numerical, Verbal, Logical and Attention to Detail).

Clicking on the link (View report on Bryq) will take you to the candidate's report within Bryq.

Note: In order to see reports within Bryq you need to be registered as a Bryq user. You can easily create Bryq accounts for your Hiring Managers as HR Users and give them access (add them to the team) only to assessments that are relevant to them.

Candidate List

In your candidate list (usually in the Bryq stage) you can immediately see candidate results.

A little icon next to each candidate denotes the match score of each candidate (Star - > 75, Thumbs up > 50, Thumbs down < 50).

To facilitate navigating, we suggest sorting candidates By evaluation, as shown in the picture above.

The same information that you received in your inbox is also available in the candidate's timeline, including the link to the Bryq report.

From here you can review the top-matching candidates and move as many as you require to the next stage.
